The logo draws inspiration from children's bouncing balls, featuring a playful twisted "O" that echoes throughout the brand's copywriting. This distinctive "O" also became Poptastic's signature icon, a witty, smiling face that embodies the brand's fun and energetic personality.

Rebranding and illustrations of this staple of Lebanese cuisine, a beloved establishment that has been part of Lebanon’s culinary heritage for decades, passed down from one generation to the next.

The client came to us for a rebranding, wanting to open their first location in one of Lebanon’s fanciest neighborhoods, all while maintaining a traditional look & feel and preserving the brand’s history.

For this project, I went to the Chouf region of Lebanon to research architectural details from the Emir Fakhreddine era. I turned these elements into illustrations and integrated them throughout the brand identity, creating a visual language rooted in Lebanese history and cultural heritage.

Rebranding, environmental design and uniforms for this luxurious oriental nightlife venue in Beirut, Dubai, and Qatar.

The identity draws inspiration from the theatricality of oriental performances. The curves within the “A” of the logo are based on the belly dancers’ movements, reflecting the silhouettes and the curves of their waist and hips.

The visual system reflects the venue’s refined atmosphere and contemporary expression of oriental luxury.
EDGAR ALLAN POE PUBLICATION

Editorial design and illustrations of a fictional bilingual publication featuring Edgar Allan Poe’s work, translated by Charles Baudelaire.

Translation is an act of interpretation, and even the most skilled translators can find themselves lost in translation.

Charles Baudelaire was no exception. The hand-drawn scratches throughout the publication represent the complexity of the writing process: imperfect, layered, and sometimes chaotic, yet ultimately meaningful.

Editorial Design and Publishing of "A Roof for Silence" , a project by Lebanese-French architect
Hala Wardé for the Lebanese Pavilion at the
Venice International Architecture Biennale in 2021.

A part (or module) of the installation was on display at the Palais de Tokyo as part of the exhibition “Réclamer la Terre”.

The entire installation was also implemented
in the ruins of the Jumièges Abbey, including an installation of broken glass, ceramics reproductions of paintings by Etel Adnan, large photographs of century-old olive trees by Fouad Elkoury, an ambient soundtrack by Soundwalk Collective and Mika singing the poetry of Etel Adnan.

This dual-opening publication illustrates these installations through their technical drawings, on-site photographs and texts bound together in a play of different kinds of papers.

REMEMBERANCE  IS A LONG JOURNEY

How can typography tell a story?

Each page explores a unique layout and typographic treatment, transforming words into visual narratives.

Through composition, rhythm, and form, the typography becomes an active element that illustrates and enhances the story being told.

WHERE I COME FROM, THINGS ARE PRETTY DIFFERENT.

A collection of six poster series, each exploring a specific topic through its own distinct visual identity.

Each series consists of ten posters designed to reveal hidden layers of information.

Inspired by Plato’s allegory of the cave, the posters are meant to be held against the sun
or any light source, allowing concealed messages and visuals to emerge.

The project explores the idea that sometimes, we must look beyond what is immediately visible in order to uncover a different perspective and reveal a new reality.

Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the project was adapted
for digital presentation.

Having miraculously survived the 4th of August 2020 blast in Beirut, Lebanon, I tried calling my mother
to let her know I was alive.
Networks are saturated. Our phone calls can’t get through.

This is when it first occured to me:
“How is it that networks get saturated when people need it the most?
What would a solution for that be? How can I use design to help my community when emergencies occur?”

CONNECTICITY MATTERS

EMRGNCY allows people to connect with their loves ones in times of crisis and check on their status.

The app uses a mesh network when regular networks or WiFi are down or saturated.

<image:caption>

PREVENTION AS PROTECTION

Every second counts in times of need to save lives, understanding the visual cues of the platform beforehand helps significantly reduce the cognitive load of the users and saves a great amount of time when navigating a crisis.

The onboarding process allows users to get familiar with the semiotics of the app and informs them of the right way to deal with the emergency before it actually occurs.

</image:caption>
                                    </image:image>

PRIVACY MATTERS

Emrgncy values transparency in order to build trust by explaining why sharing these information can be useful in dealing with emergencies and how many users already gave their consent and access to data.

An offline map is embedded into the app for when the GPS satellites are jammed.

The users always have the option to not share personal information such as location or contacts

</image:caption>

Reaching out to the Lebanese community to assess how they wish they could have been assisted when facing an emergency and to understand their behavior and first reactions when they occured.

Semiotics
Going through symbols across civilizations and throughout history, from Petroglyphs to Egyptian Hieroglyps to the digitalization of signs, symbols and icons.

Behavioral Design
To make the app as quick and efficient to use as possible by decreasing the cognitive load and intervening
in the user’s life to help them bridge the intention and action gap?”
