HALA WARDE’S A ROOF FOR SILENCE  - PALAIS DE TOKYO  -
PARIS, FRANCE

Editorial Design and Publishing of "A Roof for Silence" , a project by Lebanese-French architect Hala Wardé for the Lebanese Pavilion at the Venice International Architecture Biennale in 2021.

A part (or module) of the installation was on display at the Palais de Tokyo as part of the exhibition “Réclamer la Terre”.

The entire installation was also implemented in the ruins of the Jumièges Abbey, including an installation of broken glass, ceramics reproductions of paintings by Etel Adnan, large photographs of century-old olive trees by Fouad Elkoury, an ambient soundtrack by Soundwalk Collective and Mika singing the poetry of Etel Adnan.

This dual-opening publication illustrates these installations through their technical drawings, on-site photographs and texts bound together in a play of different kinds of papers.
